LONDON, UK – 25th July, 2026 – 1936 today announces a strategic minority investment in ROCKWOOL Racing, the Danish SailGP team, alongside American Magic, the DeVos Family (Amway, Orlando Magic) and Ikon Capital.
SailGP, founded by Larry Ellison and Sir Russell Coutts in 2018, puts teams on identical F50 catamarans and races them in the heart of the world’s great cities. With 13 events across five continents and a product built for live audiences of every age, it is one of the fastest-growing leagues in global sport.
Under American Magic’s ownership, and with ROCKWOOL committed as Title Partner through 2032, the team has the operator, the backing and the long-term partner to build one of the strongest commercial platforms in the league. 1936 joins the ownership group to back that ambition with capital and to put our network behind the team.
